Went to the surgeon today. Prognosis is pretty good. But let me tell you… the anxiety leading up to and into this appointment was almost more than I could take.
I could feel the blood leaving my face, and the sweat starting to break out across my forehead and back. Everything started going dark. I had to sit down.
It’ll still be a while before I can go back to work, but at least now I have more of a definite date.

@Flamingsword thank you. You don’t have to say much. Acknowledgement is pretty keen.
I’ve been doing well. The surgeon was quite positive. So, I’m going to continue to follow orders, but I can be more active now. more walking. Maybe some I dle cycling on a stationary bike. Start easing myself back into a more normal routine.
I’m looking forward to being more active.
Below the thunders of the upper deep,
Far, far beneath in the abysmal sea,
His ancient, dreamless, uninvaded sleep
The Kraken sleepeth: faintest sunlights flee
About his shadowy sides; above him swell
Huge sponges of millennial growth and height;
And far away into the sickly light,
From many a wondrous and secret cell
Unnumber'd and enormous polypi
Winnow with giant arms the lumbering green.
There hath he lain for ages, and will lie
Battening upon huge sea-worms in his sleep,
Until the latter fire shall heat the deep;
Then once by man and angels to be seen,
In roaring he shall rise and on the surface die.
— "The Kraken" by Alfred Lord Tennyson, 1830
It is not focused on any particular niche interest, however, I am a fountain pen user/collector, hence the semi-related "squid" name. (Squid. Ink. Get it?) Also... Cephalopods. Analog/digital photography, science. It’s all good. Everyone is welcome as long as you follow the code of conduct.
Bow to your cephalopod overloards!

*wrings hands uselessly*
I always wish I knew what to say in these situations. I dont want to say nothing and let you think nobody cares. But I dont want you to think I am offering empty platitudes either.
