I hadn’t made a significant update to my hate group DNS block list in some time. I’m almost done with updating it with groups from the SPLC’s 2018 map. This update has been almost as significant as creating it in the first place.

Thank goodness for a “incognito”/“private browsing” mode and a good VPN. My search history is 🚮🔥

I don’t want to get up out of this chair and go to bed. I hate having to be on a “normal” schedule.

Avoiding most everything social media. I do t want to see the score of the game this afternoon. If I know the score or the winner, I don’t want to even bother. 🙉🙈

Go to a Summer Solstice street festival and it feels like I’m falling apart. Ankles swell from BP Rx. My foot hurts because I think I have plantar fasciitis. My back hurts from just standing around.

Get me on my bike and while my endurance is still fairly low, I otherwise feel great. So, it’s settled, as I get older, I must spend more time in the saddle.

Today’s game between the US and Sweden was one of the best games—that I have gotten to see—of this World Cup so far. I love watching Tobin Heath play.

Starting the like of paperwork so we can extend our stay in Canada. We have definitely liked Toronto and look forward to spending more time here.

The goal of the day was without a doubt Kanjana Sungngoen’s goal against Sweden.

It didn’t rain this weekend, so I got to get out on the bike. Not bad for my current predicament. I’ll be more comfortable when I can make this a habit again. I miss the days of riding 5-6 times per week. 4 will make me happy.

Good grief. I wish it were easier to stream.

In case there is any doubt, I am watching the Women's World Cup this month.
🇸🇪 ⚽️ 🇹🇭 this morning.
🇺🇸 ⚽️ 🇨🇱 now.

Tomorrow, I’m going to work on upgrading. Hope that’s okay.

The joys of tracking down malware.

Huh. I wonder what was on TV tonight?

I should probably be on a faster path to upgrades.

Companies privatize the profits but socialize the risks, like the waste they produce to maximize those profits.

A way to combat that would be to make them pay upfront for any cost associated with their waste. They then have incentive to not produce as much waste.

But we know any dip in their profits will be fought tooth and nail.

Did some maintenance. I should probably upgrade /and/ use this a lot more than I have.

I never feel like I have the time to sit down and do the work.

I think I’m going to have to dump one of my DNS servers. Cutting back on expenses. Even though, it’s on a relatively inexpensive linode, I need to cut back. I did like having 2 extras outside of my main hosting box.

Below the thunders of the upper deep,
Far, far beneath in the abysmal sea,
His ancient, dreamless, uninvaded sleep
The Kraken sleepeth: faintest sunlights flee
About his shadowy sides; above him swell
Huge sponges of millennial growth and height;
And far away into the sickly light,
From many a wondrous and secret cell
Unnumber'd and enormous polypi
Winnow with giant arms the lumbering green.
There hath he lain for ages, and will lie
Battening upon huge sea-worms in his sleep,
Until the latter fire shall heat the deep;
Then once by man and angels to be seen,
In roaring he shall rise and on the surface die.
— "The Kraken" by Alfred Lord Tennyson, 1830
