Today's issue is seriously annoying. We should have a "backup" plan for communications other than email.

Is it me or has Slack been having a lot of issues lately?

What a hellscape. I hate it. I’m sorry I’m not any more profound than a can of beans.

Fixed. redis-server version was too old. Upgraded. Service restored.

So, this means I should look into backing up this instance and installing on a new version of Linux. It's an Ubuntu LTS, but should be upgraded. Or, things like this will continue to become outdated and unable to upgrade without manual intervention.

Issues with this instance: Sidekiq keeps restarting after upgrading to 3.3.0. I think that is keeping authentication emails from being sent out if required. “Regular” email works just fine.

I see 330 is out. I will see if I can’t upgrade tomorrow. If I remember to do so.

Seeing if I like “positions” as much as I liked “sweetener” and “thank u, next”.

Halloween & Christmas arrived early!

I ordered several things over the past few months and they’re all arriving at the same time.

Why isn’t there a record emoji?

There’s a vhs one, but not a record?

Got a COVID test today. 9yo was sent home from school with symptoms. So they tested us both. Results within 96 hrs. Until then. 9yo stays home.

Looking forward to seeing how many COVID cases the kids’ school since we know there is one.

This is the wrong time to realize that we, my family, need more social contact with people. We are fairly isolated and self-contained. So, I guess our first 2 years here were training for this one? 😅

Need an app or something to be able to create playlists/collections of albums and be able to view them and play them as such. Not just throwing entire albums of songs into a playlist.

Below the thunders of the upper deep,
Far, far beneath in the abysmal sea,
His ancient, dreamless, uninvaded sleep
The Kraken sleepeth: faintest sunlights flee
About his shadowy sides; above him swell
Huge sponges of millennial growth and height;
And far away into the sickly light,
From many a wondrous and secret cell
Unnumber'd and enormous polypi
Winnow with giant arms the lumbering green.
There hath he lain for ages, and will lie
Battening upon huge sea-worms in his sleep,
Until the latter fire shall heat the deep;
Then once by man and angels to be seen,
In roaring he shall rise and on the surface die.
— "The Kraken" by Alfred Lord Tennyson, 1830
